We have spoken previous about liking what you do and there are many reasons for that you might not have thought of before. If you do not like where you work or the job you have, do you often come home tired and a bit angry? You cannot blame the commute because when you truly like your job, the commute is not a problem. Your family and friends might notice these aspects of your personality if you are unable to identify them. This can change! You can be happy at work, on your way to and from work, and when you arrive home. When you like what you do, there are many other benefits as well.
When you are working and you either do not believe in what you are doing or you do not like it at all, then you become tired and depleted and you are not able to perform the work to the best of your ability. That just adds to the cycle because then you begin to feel like a failure and it just goes in a circle. Doing what you love allows you to feel energy and you are then doing all that you can because you enjoy it. This keeps your brain engaged and active. You begin to excel and hen you can see the qualitative and quantitative benefits of loving your job.
You begin to have more energy to spend in all the aspects of your life. Your relationships will grow and bloom and become what they were at the start. You and your spouse, or significant other, will be able to revitalize your love and have more energy to spend together taking walks, going on dates, or just talking. The relationship will have a more optimistic glow to it as opposed to the gloomy feeling it had when you were stressed and working too hard.
You will be able to better see the vibrancy that life has to offer. There will be more fun things to do and you will be able to take advantage of them. The little things that used to bug you will not anymore and you can just laugh them off. Little challenges will become stepping stones as opposed to stumbling blocks. Everything will feel half-full, as opposed to the half-empty feeling it had in the beginning. Things can change and there is beauty in that. Let your career correspond with your passions so that you can love the world, yourself, and friends more easily and freely.
Here is a video that talks about something similar. Take the initiative if you feel like this guy to change your life for the better. You do not necessarily have to do it through this company, but it is the principle that I want to get across to you.
